Ceasefire Proposal Details
US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff reportedly sent the proposal to Hamas on Sunday. The deal asks Hamas to release all hostages immediately. In return, Israel would free up to 3,000 Palestinian prisoners. The US would support ending Israel’s military operations as part of the agreement.
Hostage Count and Pressure on Hamas
Officials say 48 hostages remain in Gaza, though only about 20 are believed alive. Trump issued a similar warning in March. His latest statement increases public pressure on Hamas to respond to a deal that Washington believes could finally end the prolonged conflict.
