George Russell dominated the Singapore Grand Prix from start to finish. “Perfect race, perfect car,” he said.
He led every lap for Mercedes, claiming his second win of the season. The victory strengthens his hand in contract talks.
Behind him, McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri reignited their rivalry. Norris forced past Piastri at the start.
“Are we cool with Lando just barging me out of the way?” Piastri asked his team angrily.
The team replied they would review the incident later. “That’s not fair,” Piastri snapped. “He hit me to avoid Verstappen!”
McLaren secured the constructors’ title but face turmoil between their drivers. The team’s “fairness policy” is under strain.
Piastri refused further discussion on strategy. “You do whatever you think is best,” he told his engineer coldly.
Norris defended his move. “Hard but fair racing,” he said. He now trails Piastri by 22 points.
Russell stayed flawless as Verstappen and Norris fought behind. Verstappen pitted early; Norris delayed, remembering Monza.
A slow pit stop cost Piastri time and patience. He rejoined behind Norris, still fuming.
Russell led comfortably, five seconds ahead of Verstappen. Norris chased but couldn’t pass.
“Redemption,” Russell smiled, recalling his crash here in 2023.
Antonelli finished fifth, Leclerc and Hamilton sixth and seventh. Alonso, Bearman, and Sainz rounded out the top ten.
Hamilton faces investigation for track-limit violations late in the race.
