Barcelona have identified Harry Kane as their top target to replace Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires next June.
The Spanish champions view the 32-year-old England captain as the perfect successor to the 37-year-old Pole and are reportedly prepared to trigger a £57 million clause in Kane’s Bayern Munich contract that would allow him to leave next summer.
Since joining Bayern from Tottenham for £100m in 2023, Kane has been prolific, scoring 108 goals in 113 appearances and helping the club reclaim the Bundesliga title.
Though Kane has said he is open to staying in Munich until his contract ends in 2027, the chance to join another European giant could tempt him.
Barcelona also have Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United, with an option to buy for £30m.
Club president Joan Laporta, meanwhile, dismissed rumours of a Lionel Messi return, calling such speculation “unrealistic.”
